We all know rehydrating is the most important part of any 5K. That’s why we offer some of the best post-run beverages out there. Nothing replenishes the electrolytes quite like a Samuel Adams beverage available and complimentary to each of age participant at the finish line!
Is beer for sale?
We will be selling additional holiday brews after you enjoy your complimentary Lager in select cities where alcohol sales are allowed.
Can kids participate?
All kids 5 and under are FREE. If they would like a hat, you can purchase a kids ticket during checkout for $10.
Can I push a stroller?
Depends. Have you been eating your Wheaties? Strollers are allowed during the run. We recommend decking your stroller out in something festive as well.
Can I bring my dog?
We would love to have your 4-legged friends at The Ugly Sweater Run if the venue allows! Just remember it is your responsibility to pick up after them. Please check the city specific page to make sure dogs are allowed in your area!
Are there refunds?
Unfortunately, there is a NO refund policy. In the case of a change in venue, no refunds can be offered if the new location is within 1 1/2 hour drive from previous location.
Is this a timed event?
No. If you want to wear spandex under your sweater and race fast, that’s cool, but you’re missing the point. This is a fun-run meant to burn some calories before slamming Hot Chocolate and Samuel Adams, immediately putting those calories back in.
How do I transfer my registration?
To change your registration, feel free to contact us or follow these instructions!
How do I sign up with a group?
If you choose to join a group, click on the location you wish to participate in under the locations menu. When you have found your city page, click “BUY NOW”. Choose the ticket option that reads: Group 4+ Runners (Per Person), and the amount of people you are registering, then click “Order Now.” Next, fill out all your information and Group Name. Make sure your group members use the same group name. You are unable to keep track of who registers through Eventbrite, so make sure you are all communicating on email with each other.
If you would like to register a group of 20 or more, we have special rates for you! Contact us at email@example.com for details.
Can someone else pick up my packet?
Yes, just make sure they have a copy of your event ticket when you registered.
Does this race benefit a charity?
It sure does! The Ugly Sweater Run is partnered with Save the Children. Save the Children invests in childhood – every day, in times of crisis and for our future. In the United States and around the world, Save the Children gives children a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. We encourage all of our runners to select the special ticket option with $5 additionally donated right to this amazing organization. Separate donations of any amount can also be made at the point of registration. Every dollar counts! Learn more about the great work Save the Children does, by clicking here.
Are bikes allowed?
Nope. However, reindeers and sleighs are. That’s a joke. Running / walking only.
How do you feel about walkers?
We love walkers. Feel free to walk, jog, skip, or dance through the 3.1 miles. We just ask that you be aware of runners, please!
What do I get with my registration fee?

Our events have limited space available. If registration is NOT sold out, we will have day of event registration. However, to guarantee your entry, you should probably sign up now!
Is there a lost and found?
Yes. We will have a lost and found during the event at the registration tents. If you’ve lost something after the race feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll do our best to track it down.
I can’t run. Can I still get my packet?
