What types of beer can I drink?
We all know rehydrating is the most important part of any race. That’s why we offer some of the best post-race beverages out there. Nothing replenishes the electrolytes quite like Sam Adams Winter or Boston Lager; both available at the finish line. We’ll also be serving Angry Orchard hard apple cider for the non-beer drinkers out there.
Is beer for sale?
Unfortunately, we will not be selling beers on-site; you’ll receive one beer with every 21+ registration and cannot buy additional beer.
Can kids participate?
All kids 5 and under are FREE. If they would like a hat, you can purchase a kids ticket during checkout for $10.
Can I push a stroller?
Depends. Have you been eating your Wheaties? Strollers are allowed during the run. We recommend decking your stroller out in something ugly as well.
Can dogs participate?
We would love to have your 4-legged friends at The Ugly Sweater Run if the venue allows! Just remember that it is your responsibility to pick up after them. Please check the city specific page to make sure dogs are allowed in your area!
Are there refunds?
Unfortunately, there is a NO refund policy. In the case of a change in venue, no refunds can be offered if the new location is within 1 1/2 hour drive from previous location.
How do I transfer my registration to another person?
To change your registration, feel free to contact us or follow these instructions!
How can I sign up with a group?
If you choose to join a group, click on the location you wish to participate at under the locations menu. Once on the city page, click “BUY NOW”. Choose the ticket option that reads: Group 4+ Runners (Per Person), and the amount of people you are registering, then click “Order Now.” Next, you will fill out all your information and Group Name. Make sure all of your group members use the same group name. You are unable to keep track of who registers through Eventbrite, so make sure you are all communicating on email with each other.
If I can’t make it to packet pickup can someone else pick up my packet for me?
Yes, just make sure they have a copy of your event ticket when you registered.
Does this race benefit a charity?
Proceeds raised through the Ugly Sweater Run benefit Save the Children. Save the Children invests in childhood – every day, in times of crisis and for our future. In the United States and around the world, Save the Children gives children a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. We encourage all of our runners to make a donation to Save the Children at the time of registering. Every dollar counts! Learn more about the great work that Save the Children does, by clicking here.
Is this a timed event?
No. If you want to wear spandex under your sweater and race fast, that’s cool, but you’re missing the point. This is a fun-run to burn some calories before slamming some Hot Chocolate and Sam Adams.
How do you feel about walkers?
We love walkers. Feel free to walk, jog, skip, or dance through the 3.1 miles. We just ask that you be aware of runners, please!
What do I get with my registration fee?
With your registration you’ll receive:
- One Sam Adams beer (age permitting)
- Ugly Sweater Run Knit Hat
- 3.1 miles of holiday fun
Can I register the day of the event?
Our races only have limited space available. If registration is NOT sold out, we will have day of event registration. But to be sure you should probably sign up now!
I left something behind, is there a lost and found?
Yes. We will have a lost and found during the event at the registration tents. If you’ve lost something after the race feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll do our best to track it down.
I can’t run, can I still get my packet?
Yes, but you’ll be missing out on the greatest holiday race around! You will have to pick up your packet at Packet Pick up the day before, or on race day if you cannot participate.
I have a friend who would like to volunteer, can he help?
Absolutely! We love volunteers and can always use them. Have them email email@example.com for more information or click on the volunteer tab on the website.
Aid Stations on course?
There will be 1 aid station on course. The aid station will be serving both hot chocolate and water…separately, of course.
Are bikes allowed?
Nope. However, reindeers and sleighs are. That’s a joke. Running / walking only.
